Elena Lesser Bruun is a recognized leader in the field of individual, couple therapy and family therapy. She is a Past President of the New York Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (NYAMFT), and Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the New York University School of Medicine.

She is the author of numerous articles and co-author of two books, Marrying Well: The Clinician’s Guide to Premarital Counseling (2010) and Not on Speaking Terms (2014), both published by Norton Professional Books. She is a frequent speaker at national and local family therapy meetings and conferences, and a highly regarded educator, supervisor and mentor to both new and experienced therapists.
